What is Flattop Film?
Flattop Cinema experienced it's Heyday from the early 1980's until the early 1990's Flattop Films usually involve over the top action sequences, explosions, and strong leading men who are either muscular, have amazing hair, or both. (Although there are quite a few exceptions to this definition) The name Flattop comes from the type of theaters known to show these movies in the 1980's Usually stand alone single or twin screen movie houses with a flattop roof, often found in the "downtown" area of small cities and towns.
